Since no service had been carried out for more than 20 years, the functionality of this machine was restricted. In addition, it no longer complied with generally accepted industrial standards.
shows the machine only 8 working weeks later. It is in a completely overhauled condition now and in full compliance with the latest applicable industrial requirements.
Scope of work typically carried out:
- New air damping elements and overhauling of the machine base; integration of air buffer vessels and air purification unit into the machine base (space-saving version)
- Measuring and overhauling of the granite base
- Overhauling of the air-bearing carriage, including readjustment and replacement of the drive unit
- Complete overhauling of the air-bearing machining spindle, including the integration of a brake, thus reducing the braking time from 3,000 rpm from previously 30 seconds to as low as 5 seconds.
- Completely new electric control box in a space-saving version, including a new operating terminal
- Integration of new measuring technology, e.g. distance measuring sensors for measuring the distance between the machining spindle and workpiece.
