With a research and development share of almost 15% as well as highly qualified employees (20% university educated) KUGLER commits itself in the national and in the European development of precision and ultra precision manufacturing technology. As a partner in EC and BMBF research projects, the company is primarily concentrating on micro positioning and laser structuring issues (also of ceramic components).
Work on replication of nanostructures ("NanoFab"; grid production), femtosecond laser machining ("PRIMUS"; diamond tool structuring), on interferometric surface inspection ("RKI") and on the production of microcomponents ("MiMikri") has been completed.
